…that any scale’s readings will vary by circa 4 or 5 Lbs depending on how you shift your weight distribution while standing. That’s apparently just a fact with a scales – any scale. I haven’t bought one yet but I’ve been thoroughly reading all the reviews here for analog scales and this is the one I’m settling upon (since I had to pick some stars I picked 3 as the most neutral). Again, I haven’t tried this product yet but I figure it’s useful to note that the way one stands/distributes the poundage apparently affects the reading.

And this one looks good, too; hey, decor’s important.

  2. I purchased this $30 item and was waiting to receive it, when the shipper left notice on my door that he had cone to deliver the package but that I needed to sign for it in order to receive it. Not only was this not necessary for such a small item but I signed his notice and told him to leave it at my door and he refused stating that I needed to be there. When I called amazon they said there was nothing they could do and that they didn’t know why it was marked signature required. To make a long story short I never received the package although it was at my door three different times but since a signature was requires and I’m always at work, the product was shipped back to Amazon an I was issued a refund. I didn’t want a refund I wanted my friggin scale! Stupid…

  3. This scale was too large for my bathroom. The numbers are large enough to read, but I had a hard time seeing the lines in between the numbers. I would have returned it but I had thrown the packaging away. I put it in my basement.

Regardless of how this scale is described here, it is made out of PLASTIC, not glass. The 6.5″ dial is under soft easy to scratch plastic, not glass. There are no glass parts at all. None. Zero. The item description is misleading to say the least.

If this scale had glass protecting the dial, I would give it a much higher rating.

This scale is terrible. It needs to be recalibrated each time. I never trust the results. My weight can swing by 10 lbs in a day on this scale. Get a cheap digital scale and you will be better off.
