Quick & simple service, great product. Salter unfortunately does not provide printded or Internet insight into their food database detail and the scale display is hard to read in lower light. It is still far ahead of the competition.

I actually purchased this at our local BBand Beyond store on clearnace because someone said the lid wouldn’t stay up. It was still all wrapped up brand new and I checked the lid, worked fine. I bought it for $20 because someone returned it (fine with me).
The scale is REALLY helpful. Especially if you are on a restrictive/special diet. You can program your own recipes, foods, and meal plan into the scale and its calculates EVERYTHING for you. From carbs, net carbs, GI value, etc. Its a great little device.
I have been following a low carb diet for a while now and I was getting tired of getting online trying to find the nutritional values of foods that don’t come prepackaged. This does it all, now I don’t have to log onto the computer, carry some book, etc.
Which brings me to my next point, if you go out to eat or you eat away from your home you can come back and put in the foods you ate for the day and it will calculate it into your planned target values
This is basically like having fitday, sparkspeople, and other online nutrional trackers on your countertop without internet connection or subscription.
Durability im not sure of, but so far its been fine for me. I haven’t had any problems with it. I would highly recommend it.
