Bought this scale as it has gotten very positive initial reviews. Out of the box I was fairly happy. Seemed accurate, although the touch buttons were a bit hard to work with and the platform wasn’t quite as big as i would have liked.
The big problem that I have run into is the batteries. This scale clearly was not designed for the US market as it takes those coin batteries. I had a heck of a time locating them, and when I did they cost me a small fortune.
Bottom line is invest in a scale with AA or AAA batteries. My guess is that they will last longer and comparable scales that are $5-$10 more will save you $$$ over their lifetimes.

One thing for sure – this scale looks really cool – like a huge iPod, as my husband said.
It is pretty accurate too. Each time I weight the same thing – it shows the same value. I love the ml unit feature too. Will see how long it will last.

I love everything about this scale
It is accurate, easy to use, has a fairly large (and flat) weighing surface, is very easy to clean, is beautiful, very thin and therefore very easy to store, the battery lasts a long time (still on my first one) and is a very inexpensive battery to replace (about 33 cents), the tare feature is very easy to use and it is very easy to switch between weighing modes (grams, fluid ounces, etc.) on the fly.
The auto-off feature has a long enough delay for me, as long as long as I am somewhat prepared i.e. have my next ingredients fairly accessible. The buttons are very sensitive and it is easy to turn it on just by picking it up, but as the battery lasts so long and is so inexpensive, I don’t even check to make sue I didn’t store it away “on”, because eventually the auto-off feature will turn it off.
I have owned many kitchen scales over the years and like this so much better than any of the previous scales I owned and I believe it is the least expensive of all of them. It is a real bargain.

Ideal for an amateur breadbaker in a 64-sq.ft kitchen without very much counter space to spare. This scale is accurate and easy to store, and even looks good.

Quite pleased with this scale. It is smartly designed, easy to use, easy to clean, and fairly priced (I believe I paid about $20). I have been using it daily for four months to prepare formula and have had no battery issues or other malfunctions. I’d never heard of “Kintrex” before, but that doesn’t concern me any longer.
