I’ve been doing some testing since getting this scale and have had very inconsistent results. I finally figured out that the tare function doesn’t work if you zero out the weight for your container, but then remove it to fill before returning it to the scale.
It also seems to make a difference where on the scale surface you place things. That pretty much means you always need to use a bowl or plate on top of the unit.
It is very small and easy to store, which is why I’m probably going to keep it, warts and all.

With a capacity of 11 lbs., this scale is suited for kitchen and other household use. The flat stainless steel surface is perfect for weighing food on plates, napkins, wax paper, etc. Available measurements in lbs., oz., ml., grams, and fl. oz. A tare button allows the user to zero the scale at any time, e.g., while adding ingredients. A truly unique feature is its size and shape, which allows for truly out-of-the-way storage, even with your cookbooks!

I used this scale about twice a week for four months to measure ingredients weighing less than 2 pounds. It looks nice and is lightweight. However, I had two major problems with it.
First, the auto-off feature is designed to conserve battery power, but is poorly thought-out. Sometimes the scale would shut itself off in the middle of a measurement!
More seriously, after about 3 months the scale started to behave erratically (displaying random numbers for a few seconds before settling back to the previously displayed value), and finally after less than four months it’s dead, displaying just EEEE. Unfortunately, I’ve missed the Amazon return window, so I’ll contact the manufacturer with its supposed 5-year warranty. However, I don’t have high hopes for the outcome.

I owned this scale for two weeks and then it broke.
Amazon won’t give you your money back until you contact the seller first. I called the company and they said I need to contact the manufacturer. UGH
THEY (ace digital photo) HAVE A TEN DAY RETURN POLICY — TOO SHORT. 30 DAYS IS STANDARD
Amazon will NOT refund my money until I contact the manufacturer. I contacted them, but they won’t give my money back, they will only give me a new scale, IF they deem my scale broken AFTER I ship it to them. UGH
I already HAVE a new scale. I bought one the day this one broke — like I’m going to wait a month for them to deem my scale broken, before I move forward with my life.
Now Amazon WILL refund my money, but this is way too much work for me. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL AROUND.
At least Amazon is going to give my money back, but i had to send the scale by fed ex (amazon wanted a tracking number)
THEN i got an email saying that THEY WANT ME TO SHIP THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING TOO. They are just hoping i will give up and go away — what do they need the original packaging of a broken scale for? and if they did need it, why not mention that the first time i shipped to them. THEY ARE BEING UNETHICAL

Purchased for weekend business at an outdoor market.
Scale is small, durable, accurate, and clean.
I use it constantly at the market…. probably over the month I have more use than a home user would in 2 years.
Great Item…. Love it
