This is a great scale for the price. It is fast and easy to use. Most importantly, it is accurate (enough). I have done a series of comparisons and this scale was found to deviate from a calibrated Mettler top-loading laboratory scale by less than 0.3% over a wide-range of weights. Here are a few samples (E: Escali; M: Mettler, all in grams): an ID card-(E: 8; M: 7.77), a CD-(E: 19; M: 19.06), a plastic toy-(E: 46; M: 46.01), my key chain-(E: 113; M: 112.98), a bottle of white glue (150 ml)-(E: 178; M: 178.08), a bottle of water (500 ml)-(E: 511; M: 509.5), and a hardcover book-(E: 1112; M: 1110.5). The reproducibility of this scale is also very good; particularly, for weighing any object less than 500 grams. The drawback of this scale is its small weighing pane and the low-profile design. Care must be excised when weighing any large (larger than the weighing pane) and floppy object, like a stack of paper.

I am totally pleased with this scale. It is not only small enough for a small countertop and affordable but very accurate. And with the choice of colors it fits in any kitchen decor. I bought one in silver for myself and one for my daughter in green.
