Mia is right. Looks great, appears durable and accurate, and doesn’t become hard to use when the bowl breaks someday in the distant future. In fact, you could use a variety of containers on this scale, and easily adjust each to zero. The product literature is a bit skimpy, and I was saved by Mia’s answer to the question about calibration adjustments. I couldn’t figure that one out, and I didn’t get a manual with mine. But holding the plastic “zig-zags” while turning the stainless steel upper housing did the trick. The product literature claims that this scale can be washed in a dishwasher, as long as it is not subjected to a heated drying cycle. Fortunately, I, too, found mine at Albertson’s – priced at only $15. The box looked like it had been there a while, but that didn’t reduce the bright glittering effect of the polished stainless steel.

I just saw this kitchen scale at Albertson’s this morning. Seems to be nicely made. It has a metal 18/10 stainless steel base, non-skid bottom is grey plastic. It measures in oz, lbs, grams and kg. It looks sturdy, and is priced way, way lower than advetized here… @$11.29.
I can’t wait to go back there tomorrow!

I bought the scale on the next day. It works great, as expected. Very easy to adjust for different bowls, if you need to use a different one. What’s also great is that you won’t need any batteries, and it will work accurately everytime.
